Soggy Bottom Hunt Club, located in the Tarheel state, is 3000 contiguous acres of prime Whitetail habitat under a sound, quality deer management program. This page has been created as a common place for member information, but more importantly, to give members families a chance to see why they stay gone all weekend.
The Soggy Bottom property is as diverse as it gets. Bordered all around by
agricultural land, the core property ranges from dense pine thickets and hardwood bottoms, to timber company cut-overs and swamp runs.There are several types of game species here at Soggy Bottom, however the most pursued is of course, the Whitetail deer. The agricultural land provides all the nutrients needed to maintain a large, healthy deer heard. While the surrounding cover provides excellent bedding and browse. According to last seasons harvest records compiled by NCG&F, the county Soggy Bottom is located in, ranks among the top five in the state. Take in to account, that Soggy Bottom is under a state supervised deer management program (DMAP)
, not to mention trophy management, and you've got a winning combination that's hard to beat anywhere.Aside from chasing Whitetails, hunters can test their wood savvy on a variety of small game. From quails on the edges, squirrels in the trees, and rabbits in the brush, there is something here for everyone.
When the sun sets, and it comes time to settle in for the evening, most find themselves right at home at the clubs
farmhouse. This newly remodeled spread adds to the hunt by serving as a commonplace for hunters to come together and share their stories over a warm meal. With all the bunk beds, there is plenty of room for everyone.
