~The Beauty of Nature~ A thing of beauty to behold, Natures story to unfold. The sunset, rainbows, morning dew; Tall old trees and leaf buds new. From birch and aspen, oak and pine, To maple, ash and climbing vine. They shade the forest floor below And scatter leaves for autumns show. From raging wind to gentle breeze, You’ll hear the rustling of the leaves. Flowers blooming, scent so sweet; A place for hummingbirds to meet. Crisp night air, a lakeside breeze; Springtime thaw from winters freeze. Puddles form from thundershower; Lightning shows its awesome power. The strips of pink and purple too Make clouds at dusk a pretty hue. Twinkling stars, they shine so bright When darkness falls proclaiming night. The moon it glows to show the way ‘Til night becomes another day. And fluffy snow, all clean and white, Can turn gray days to something bright. These are the things from nature old, Beauties I shall always hold. |
