TRACKER'S TROPHY PAGES

This is my '97 bow-buck. I got him with my Clearwater Power Mag, and Rocky Mountain Ultra broadheads at 22 yards. He was a nine pointer that weighed 160 pounds dressed.

My '96 shotgun buck. Nine points, 165 pounds.

This buck was taken in Upstate New York's Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. It is one of my biggest taken with a bow.. and most definately one of the most exciting hunts I've ever had ! I was hunting one of the refuge's vast cattail marshes when this fellow circled downwind of my groundblind. Smelling the hock glands that I had put out around me, the buck came charging right in, with the hair on the back of his neck standing on end. When he got to within 10 feet of me (NOT yards, feet !) he realized that I was not what he expected, and threw up his head and stared at me ! I was already at full draw, and just sighted down my arrow at his white throat patch and let the arrow fly. The big buck went crashing back through the cattails, leaving a bloodtrail that even a blind man could follow! He went down quickly from a severed juglar vein.

This is my brother-in-law and hunting partner, Stan, with a beautifull 20 inch 8 pointer he got with his bow in Central NY. Stan is the most persistant hunter I have ever known, and pity the buck that Stan sets his sights on !
