Let
us introduce ourselves and our program. We are a group of dedicated, experienced,
highly competent bowhunters organized to assist you in the management of
the local deer population. Our goal is managing the local deer herd, so
that the population matches available food sources and cultural carrying
capacity. The end result is having both the deer and the landowner benefit
under our Quality Deer Management program.
In the 1995- 1996 season we harvested 70 deer from the surrounding
suburban Philadelphia counties. We harvested 55 deer in the 1996-1997 season;
90% of the total harvest of both seasons were does, (Females). We
have a wildlife biologist on board, C.J.
Winand, to assist in our management goals. We will gladly afford
you a copy of our harvest data.
Our members practice quality deer management . We require all of our members to harvest mainly females and only allow them to harvest males after they have harvested a female.
Our
members abide by a strict set of rules, and regulations formulated to meet
the special needs of the suburban landowners in mind.
All
of our bowhunters are certified by the National Bowhunting Education Federation.
And are required to shoot a proficiency test each year.
We only bowhunt from fixed positioned tree stands and all shots are taken at a downward angle. This is the safest way to bowhunt the suburban communities of Philadelphia.
Each landowner receives a roster of our members before the season begins so you will be able to identify each bowhunter that hunts on your property.
Each hunter will carry in his/her possession required paperwork that validates them as members of TCBA.
Each bowhunter's vehicle can be identified by the special TCBA Parking Permit displayed on the dash.
We will gladly send you a list of references upon your request. Our Quality Deer Management occurs in three counties Montgomery, Chester, Delaware.
We are a Non Profit Organization. We simply enjoy Bowhunting and the great outdoors.
Our program is not a quick fix. To bring the population in line with the cultural carrying capacity it takes years.
We
donate all venison that is not personally consumed by us, or the landowner,
to various homeless shelters in the suburban Philadelphia area.
We
will provide you with an indemnity waiver and insure each member for $1,000,000
general liability insurance.
Call
one of our Area Coordinators for a Free consultation. We
will come to your home and evaluate your deer problem for you.
