Dennis Riley (Tagit) took this muley in 1997 on opening
day of the Colorado archery season. I spotted him at 250 yards and watched
him through Binos until he went behind a hill. I then sprinted as hard
as I could to cut him off on the other side. He was surprised and the shot
was perfect quartering away. He went 70 yards. I was and still am using
a Mathews Ultralight. I shoot 2114 XX75 with Muzzy three blade broadheads.

Scott Votaw said "I shot this mule deer during Wyomings
early archery season. I saw him bedded in some timber and snuck within
30 yards. I shot him with a Mathews FX using a Goldtip arrow tipped
with a 100 gr. Thunderhead. He ran les than 100 yards. This
was my first mule deer ever."
