A Bow for My "Partner"

In 1990 I moved from my hometown of Indianapolis to Louisville, KY.  I was gone for 10 years.  In May of 2000 I returned home.  I regained my best and oldest hunting partner...my brother Mike.

We started hunting together again this fall.  It's been great!  My last task was to initiate him into the realm of
hunting with a stick and string.  Here's the first step...I call him "Partner"

My bowbuilding buddy, Mickey Lotz, sent me a hickory veneer backed hickory board stave this year.
It turned out real nice.  70" NTN, 50# at my 26" draw.  Here's me drawing it.

This Christmas I gave Mike an envelope with a picture in it and on the picture I wrote something like this:
"Here's a picture of the bow I made for you.  I named him "Partner".   I hope it turns out to
be a good hunting partner for you for many years as I will for as long as we can hunt."

I love you Mike.  I so glad to be home!
