Laine's Bow

This is my daughter Laine.  She will be 3 in February.  'bout time she had her own bow, dontcha think?

The wife took a well deserved but poorly timed (first weekend of Indiana's bow season) trip.  The other two kids are in school so it is a quality time day with my littlest angel.  Why not spend it playing with bows.  Laine's bow is an osage selfbow that I made.  A new string and some mink silencers dress it up.  She's thrilled, can't you tell?

Lainey put her first shot in the target with a little help from Dad.  She wanted to take the bow to McDonalds but I thought better of that.  She's been carrying it around all day :-)

Well, we couldn't let Lainey have all the fun with Dad.

Here's Emily.  Check out the neighbor kid :-)  Casting the bait...

Here's James.  Hey look, there's another kid peeking there at the edge. Twitchin' it...

See how fun this is kid.  Wanna shoot it once.  Setting the hook!

Hey look, WE GOT ONE!  This is Werner.

Hey, this one's a bruiser!  His name is Brian and he shot with me for a good 45 minutes.  Long after the other kids were off to the swingset. Brian's cousin was watching me shoot last weekend and after about twenty shots, he volunteers that he might hafta ask for a bow for Christmas.  I guess I could make him one - HEHEHE.   I used to think that funky box sitting in the corner with lights flashing through it (TV) was the only kid magnet.  The bow must have been the first.

EVERY KID NEEDS A BOW!
