Maybe Dan Frein's Bow

Here's an osage bow I'm making for Dan Frein maybe. If not for him then maybe some other poor soul. We'll see how she turns out. Got a little correcting to do to the natural shape of this one - hehehe!

Let's get the heatgun out.

I'm gonna start with the left limb and get just a little bit of that c shape out of it. It needs to be warmed up to a point where you can't leave your hand on it. You have to keep the heatgun moving over about a 5-6" section. See where it says heat. The clamp on the left will push the limb down after we get it hot enough. It took about 8 minutes.

Here's the tip. It's got some twist and needs to be pushed over and reflexed. Lot's of stuff to do here.

The right limb is about the same only worse.

All ready to go. I know I'll have to do a little more after we take it out.
