"Hunters Are People Too"
![]()
Being a showcase page to proudly display awards made to this web site by other web masters and/or organizations who do that sort of thing. I am eternally grateful for all awards made to my site and truly humbled by their receipt. Some awards may also be seen elsewhere on this site if they seem to apply to a particular part or item of the whole. However, here you are invited to view them in total. Be aware that I do not take these awards lightly. I respect them and the people/organizations that have deemed it fitting to bestow them on this site. A heartfelt thank you to those who presented the awards, as well as to those who view them and the rest of my site. - Bernie

Top Rose Award - "For Making A Difference" (I love that criteria)
From: SusieQ Web Designs
My very first award, so important to me! Written about on my Index (Home) Page and on Journal, Pg2
Date Awarded: March 07, 2000

Award Of Excellance - For overall excellence of content and the handling of material both sensitive and controversial. Among other criteria the site is required to be "Family Friendly' and to "show your true love for animals".
From: Rainbow Bridge South
This really means a great deal to me in view of my endeavor with this site to show that "Hunters Are People Too."
Date Awarded: April,2001

Memorial Award - for my memorials to the "Spirits" as seen on my Family Page.
From: Rainbow Bridge South
Perpetuating a concept I like to believe exists somewhere, somehow.
Date Awarded: April 2001

Rainbow Bridge Angels Award - again for the write-ups on my Angels both present and past and I hope for my being their Angel (along with my wife, Rose) - Don't miss my "Family" Page
From: Rainbow Bridge South
An award just permeated with feelings.
Date Awarded: April, 2001

Pawprints On The Heart Award - What our pets (and others) leave us with and what I hope I accomplish with you, the reader and viewer. See examples above and in "Tracks left in my mind and heart" story on Journal, Pg 2 under "Odds and Ends"
From: Rainbow Bridge South
I really like the premise, title, and idea behind this one.
Date Awarded: April, 2001
Note: These four awards from Rainbow Bridge South were not "applied
for" or solicited by me in any way but were freely awarded after numerous
visits to this site by the Web Master, following our chance meeting. I
do accept and display them with all the humility, appreciation, and pleasure
that such meaningful honors deserve. After all, Hunters Are People Too
- Bernie

"Golden Alien" "Swell Site Award" - Because my "site is swell and all." You have to know Russell, a site designer of no small talents and founder of macroblur.com, a bi-monthly web magazine to know the true praise in that comment. He is another who loves 'tongue in cheek humor" as evidenced on his and Jimmy's web site.
From: macroblur.com
I display this award with much pleasure and honor because I respect the talent and opinion of who and where it comes from. Thank you profoundly, Russell (and Jimmy).
Date Awarded: April, 2001
This award reads, "In recognition of creativity, integrity and excellence on the web." It is awarded (or not awarded) after a site has been reviewed by an appointed board of members and a vote is taken. Board findings are final.
From: IAWMD (International Association of Web Masters & Designers)
This award is (by its own nature) less personal but certainly no less prestigious. I thank you, IAWMD and also the board members for their votes.
Date Awarded: May 12, 2001
"This Award is given only to great sites like yours that are about hunting and the outdoors," the Award Certificate reads. After visiting my site the Web Master/owner of Whitetail Hunter stated in the Award Notification, "I went to your site and it was great. I spent a long time just looking around and having a good time. You have done a real nice job putting it all together. I would be proud for you to display my award on your site."
From Whitetail Hunter Web Master
I truly appreciate this beautiful award and the comments that accompanied it from the Web Master of what I consider a particularly fine and extensive site on hunting the whitetail deer. There is so much good information to be had there that I advise anyone interested in that special sport to make sure they visit it often. My profound thanks to Whitetail Hunter.
Date Awarded: January 04, 2002
This is one of the very meaningful and artistic awards presented to web sites devoted to The Outdoors by Water and Woods, a web site/organization dedicated to The Outdoors. They feature information, services, forums, and chats and much more. Their additional purpose is to list, promote, and direct traffic towards all "Outdoors Sites".
From: Water and Woods
I like the implications of the simple comment that accompanied this award, "Keep up the Great Work and we wish you much Continued Success in the Outdoors." Also it certainly pleases this old hoss to think that my site has "Quality Content".
Date Awarded: January 12, 2002
Note: (To Webmasters and others) "They" do stop by and check us and we can make a difference (in all that we do). Please read this message I received after posting my Water and Woods Award:
Bernie, I stopped by and can tell you that the write-up is most appreciated.
You would not believe the number of
people who apply for an award and never even put it on their site,
never link it back, or compress it so small you
can't even view it! Just last week we had 4 different webmasters apply
for awards and they still aren't on their
sites. On a much brighter note, someone such as yourself who actually
is happy to publish the award, and then
goes that little extra to do a write-up besides, makes everything we
do here all worth while. Our sincere
Compliments and Thanks go out to you and the hard work you've done
on a site well deserving of any award.
Jim a.k.a. Fitter @ Water and Woods
That message too (in my book) is an award, in and of itself! Thanks
for taking the time, Jim.
