I have been bowhunting for twenty-five years, twenty-three
if you don't count the two years it took me to harvest my first deer.
Since that first morning I felt that I was into something fantastic, and
that feeling has never left me. What
other sport allows you to get up two hours before the sun, go stumbling
through the woods only to climb a tree and wait for it to get light. People
think I'm crazy, especially my sweet wife, but I wouldn't change a thing.
Living in eastern Ontario, Canada. I have access to some of the finest bowhunting anywhere. My main hunting area is only twenty minutes from where I live. It is an area of cedar swamps dotted by beaver ponds, with very little high ground and very few clearings. The land supports whitetail deer, black bear, the occasional moose, and countless small game, (ruffed grouse, snowshoe hare and so on.)
This site is dedicated to Billy Bowhunter Jr. and his sweet wife Cathy who stole his heart. They moved to Texas, and I lost the best bowhunting partner I could ever have.
