Rutting activity can start as early as
August and continues as late as mid-January. To check
your area, find where you hunt on the map, cross check it to the chart below and
see what percentage of bucks in your area should be rutting on which days. The
information was taken from the studies done by Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department biologists as part of a deer-breeding study.
