PEAK OF THE RUT
OK, you only have one day all season to hunt, when do you go?
The Texas Parks and Wildlife agency has an excellent series of charts on their website that defines when the breeding occurs in most of Texas. I thought it might be fun to use their data to show the peak rut date in each region on a map. The percentage shown indicates the percent of the total breeding that takes place on or about that date.
