These are the pictures that were taken from November 2006 through the end of January 2007.
As usual there were plenty of deer and plenty of typical antlered bucks for this area, but unfortunately we did not get the antler growth that we hoped for from the previous year due to the extended drought in the area. It just shows that when you hunt open range without supplemental feeding that you are at the mercy of the weather and the corresponding native plant regeneration. Most of our hunters were very patient and left our best bucks to age for another year. Following the close of season, we have confirmed that most of our better bucks survived. With a bit of good luck we will have an excellent 2006 - 2007 because we will have a lot of bucks at age 4 1/2 and older.
