MEXICO 2001-2002 SEASON
November 28, 2001 through Jan 20, 2002

mexbuck033s.jpg
These are pictures taken at our hunting lease in Tamaulipas, Mexico. This was our first year at this ranch and it was quite a learning experience for all of us. We had 11,000 acres and absolutely no knowledge of what to expect regarding game. It turned out to be a pleasant place to hunt, (as long as it didn't rain..!), with an abundance of wildlife. Our hopes were high and the goal of most of the hunters was to take a high quality buck, unfortunately we saw many bucks but not one really met the requirements of a real Mexican macho buck. The ranch had been under drouth conditions for 3 years and we believe that played a major part in antler size on the few mature bucks that we saw. I was able to photograph quite a number of bucks during the season so the potential is there as you will see by some of those bucks pictured.

Take your time and enjoy the visit to Mexico.
